Martina McEllistrim
Born in Ireland, Ms. McEllistrim came to the United States in 1987. She earned her Associates degree from South Suburban College, her Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary social science from St. Xavier University Chicago and her Master of Arts degree in teaching and leadership from St. Xavier University. She recently earned her Ed.S (Education Specialist) in Administration and supervision from National Louis University.
Currently Ms. McEllistrim teaches Psychology and Sociology while serving as the Student Events Coordinator where she oversees all extra-curricular clubs and activities. She is also the Girls Head tennis coach. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and catching up on her reading.

Jessica Piemonte
Ms. Piemonte joined the staff in 2001. Having grown up in Melrose Park she attended Jane Addams grade school and Walther Lutheran high school. She has earned an Associates in Science degree, a Bachelor of Art degree in history, and a Master’s degree in history. During her tenure here, she has sponsored several clubs including, Class Council for '05 and '17, MIKVA Challenge political club, Yearbook Club, Student Council, and Genealogy Club.
Ms. Piemonte’s two main hobbies are scrap booking and Genealogy research of her family's history. Ms. Piemonte and her two daughters enjoy traveling to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to go hiking and fishing. She also likes photography and gardening.
History has always been a major interest in her life, and she loves to share, discuss, and debate with her students. Many of her students have kept in touch with her over the years. Ms. Piemonte believes she is making an impact on her students as her teachers made an impact on her. “Proviso East is my home and I am proud to be a part of its history.”

Lindsey Townsend
Ms. Townsend joined the Social Studies department in August of 2019. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Secondary Education from Carthage College, and her Learning Behavior Specialist I endorsement from the University of St. Francis.
Ms. Townsend resides in Lombard, with her dog. She is a volunteer for a military/veteran outreach organization.
