The counselor’s main job is to be the student’s advocate. Counselors are also the family’s main connection to get information about the school. You can call or email your student’s counselor for any questions or concerns, and they will be sure to help! The department provides individual, group, and classroom counseling. Students, parents, and guardians should use their counselor as their first point of contact for information regarding the following items:
Referral to community resources
An academic and four-year planning
Study skills and organization
College and scholarship information and applications
Career resources and information
Community service logs and locations
Standardized tests: SAT Suite of Assessments, ACT, ISA, AP, IB
The counselors are available for students before school at 7:45am, during lunch, and after school until 3:30pm. We encourage students to make appointments during these times. Parents and guardians can call during regular school hours and email any time. Please call or email for appointments.
