Student Assault

On Friday, Dec. 10th, one of our scholars was assaulted by a School Resource Officer in a classroom at Proviso West. This assault was unprovoked. We will not tolerate anyone treating our scholars in this manner. We had the SRO arrested immediately.

Panthers Serving the Community

More than 50 Proviso West students and staff spent their time at the “Feed My Starving Children” facility in Aurora this week, packing boxes that will provide more than 11,000 meals for 30 kids – that’s food for an entire year! We are Panther Proud to see our scholars serve. This is what building strong character looks like.

Proviso Book Club

The first Proviso Book Club meeting took place on Monday evening, December 8th, at Proviso East High School. The next meeting will take place on Monday, December 13th from 6-7 pm at Proviso West. PMSA will also host a meeting on Wednesday, December 15th from 6-7 pm. Refreshments will be served. All are Welcome!
