Mentoring Party Brings a Joyful Close to the School Year

Earlier this month, Proviso East High School hosted its annual End-of-Year Mentoring Party, celebrating more than 50 new teachers and their dedicated mentors. Organized by Ms. Athanasia "Sia" Albans, the event was a fun and festive way to recognize the hard work and growth of our educators throughout the year.

Mentors, mentees, school administrators, and even newly appointed Superintendent Mr. Krish Mohip joined the celebration. Guests enjoyed delicious food provided by Triton College’s Tricafe and participated in a lively game of “Family Feud” with Ms. Albans as host and Mr. Dimitrios "Jim" Kallieris lending his best announcer voice. Ms. Angela Marino kept score as teams battled it out—Proviso West emerged victorious!

Thanks to Ms. Felica Lee, attendees also had the chance to win exciting raffle prizes. The event was a true celebration of mentorship, collaboration, and the strong sense of community at Proviso.

We are incredibly grateful to all our mentors and mentees for their dedication and commitment to supporting student success across the district.
