• *UPDATE:

Proviso Math and Science Academy has begun sending out acceptance invitations via email, with official letters also being mailed through USPS. Parents are encouraged to check their email for important updates. For any future Proviso student who was not accepted, please know that you still have a bright future at a Proviso school. We are committed to helping all students pursue nothing but the best, and we look forward to supporting each student on their educational journey.

Acceptance is due Friday, March 7, 2025.

Admissions for incoming Freshmen (Class of 2029) opens November 1, 2024.

We offer three selective enrollment schools at PTHS D209:
Proviso East Mathematics and Science Academy (PEMSA) in Maywood
Proviso West Mathematics and Science Academy (PWMSA) in Hillside
Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy (PMSA) in Forest Park

All three campuses provide the same rigorous Math and Science Academy (MSA) Program for students who meet the admissions criteria for acceptance. The only difference is the location.

The Math & Science Academy (MSA) course pathway prepares freshmen and sophomore Academy students for International Baccalaureate (IB) classes in grades 11-12 should they decide to enter the full IB Diploma Programme or take IB classes for the Certificate option.

Additionally, MSA students' grades are weighted, which boosts their GPA for colleges and scholarships.
