MSA Admissions Step #1: PSAT 8/9 and NNAT3 Testing

    If you attend one of the Proviso foundation schools, they administered the PSAT 8/9 test to all 8th graders in October 2023 and will be administering the Naglieri Nonverbal Test in November/December 2023.  Check with the principal of your 8th grade school for the assigned testing days.


    If you attend a private school, are home-schooled, or will be transferring to Proviso by the beginning of your freshman year for School Year 2024-2025, you must have pre-registered for a testing day no later than Tuesday, November 21st this Google Form.  Below are the testing dates.

    • Thursday, November 30, 2023 - Start time 4:00pm (Please arrive at 3:45pm)  
    • Saturday, December 2, 2023 - Start time 9:00am (Please arrive at 8:45am) 
    • Monday, December 4, 2023 - Start time 4:00pm (Please arrive at 3:45pm) 


    MSA Admissions Step #2: Official 7th Grade Transcript

    • This form is a required component of the Proviso MSA admissions process.
    • It must be completed no later than January 15, 2024 by the registrar or counselor of the school the student attended in 7th grade. 
    • It takes approximately 5 minutes to complete, plus the upload.
    • All applicants should plan to contact their child’s 7th grade school within the admissions window to request the applicant's official 7th grade transcript using the form provided above.


    MSA Admissions Step #3: Online Application

    • The Admissions window for Class of 2028 runs from September 18, 2023, through January 15, 2024.
    • All 8th graders are encouraged to apply.
    • PTHS 209 must receive your online application within the admissions window to be considered for the MSA program.
