Mr. Aschoff began his teaching career in 2004 as a science teacher at Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL. Over the years, he has held various roles, including Department Chair of Science, Division Head of Science, and District Coordinator of Science. In 2022, he co-authored the book Teaching in a Competency-Based Secondary School and is currently pursuing a doctoral program in Educational Leadership, with an expected graduation date of 2025. His commitment to personalized instruction and student agency has significantly contributed to improved teaching and learning in District 209.
