  • Superintendent's Student Roundtable

Join the Superintendent's Student Roundtable We’re looking for a group of students to work with Superintendent Henderson to help develop a plan of success for students, advise him on student aspirations and goals, and possibly represent the district at Board of Education meetings. Interested? Make your pitch! Film a short video, 60-90 seconds, telling us why you should be selected as a member of the Superintendent’s Student Roundtable (SSR). We will review your videos and select four to six students from each school to serve on the SSR. The student body will vote and select one member of the SSR to represent the district as a student member of the Board of Education. Send your videos to Superintendent209@pths209.org by 4 pm Friday, December 4th. Happy Filming

  • National School Lunch Week

114, 003. That’s how many meals our teams have served to students since the COVID pandemic hit, in March. Our cafeteria staff prepares the meals. Our security teams deliver them. That’s teamwork. And, as we wrap-up National School Lunch Week, we want to say “Thank You” to everyone who makes it happen. We are Proviso strong.

  • Medical heroes work at Proviso East

The health brochure shelves in room 86B at Proviso East High School are empty. A bottle of hand sanitizer sits on the receptionist's desk. To the right, there is a sign that reminds visitors that masks are required. The waiting area of the clinic is quiet and has no patients. The Loyola University Chicago school-based health center was bustling with students in need of health services before COVID-19 changed our way of life.
