• SUMMER READING 2024  

    Summer Reading 2024 is here! The district wants to provide a positive reading experience for all Proviso students over the summer and into the fall to enhance their literacy journey between high school years. Let's build a positive culture of reading at PTHS 209!

    Summer reading assignments are required for all students at Proviso East/PEMSA, Proviso West/PWMSA, and PMSA, including all Incoming Freshmen through Rising Seniors across the district. See links below.

    Incoming Freshmen can check out one of the four suggested books from Proviso by contacting Ms. Angela Marino at amarino@pths209.org or 708-338-5929.

    Rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will be invited to the Proviso East Book Fair from May 28th through June 7th. Ms. Patricia Adjetey, the School Librarian, will have books set up throughout the library on tables to help students make a good selection. Students are also welcome to check out one of the suggested books for their grade level in the book list above.

    If students do not check out a book from Proviso, they can check it out from a local library or purchase it at a store or online.
