Six students from Proviso East Attended the West Suburban Leadership Conference at Oak Park River Forest High School yesterday. Coaches and teachers selected Briseyda Rodriguez, Melissa Moraza, Jermiah Jordan, Marchand Barson, Mariah Mell, and Zaire Holman to attend the conference because they have displayed leadership qualities both on the field and in the classroom. Mariah Mell said attending the conference was a great experience because she got to meet student from other schools and she learned that “it is OK to put yourself out there a little bit."

Los entrenadores y maestros seleccionaron a Briseyda Rodríguez, Melissa Moraza, Jermiah Jordan, Marchand Barson, Mariah Mell y Zaire Holman para asistir a la conferencia porque han demostrado cualidades de liderazgo tanto en el campo como en el aula. Mariah Mell dijo que asistir a la conferencia fue una gran experiencia porque conoció a estudiantes de otras escuelas y aprendió que “está bien exponerse un poco”.
