Jeremy Christian Named Principal of Proviso West High School
HILLSIDE, Ill. — Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Christian as the new principal of Proviso West High School, effective July 1, 2025.
Christian brings more than a decade of experience in public education, a passion for student success, and a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of schools. He is a proven instructional leader with a record of fostering inclusive, collaborative school communities that elevate equity, academic excellence, and student voice.
He most recently served as principal of Niles West High School, and prior to that, led Julian Middle School in Oak Park. Christian also has a personal connection to the District 209 community, having attended Proviso West as a freshman.
“Mr. Christian stood out in the interview process as a passionate and strategic leader with a clear understanding of both the strengths and challenges facing our schools,” said Superintendent Krish Mohip. “His vision for Proviso West is grounded in high expectations, shared leadership, and the belief that every student can thrive with the right supports and opportunities.”
Christian’s career has been defined by his focus on holistic student support, strong family engagement, and building meaningful relationships with the community. His appointment signals a renewed commitment to student-centered leadership at Proviso West.
District 209 welcomes Christian to the Proviso community and looks forward to the energy and purpose he brings as the 2025–2026 school year approaches.
