Students May Register for School, Pick Up Textbooks August 8-12

From August 8 through 12, students who did not participate in early registration at Proviso Township High Schools District 209’s three schools may register for the 2016-2017 school year. During registration, students may pick up their textbooks, student identifications, bus routes, and class schedules.
At Proviso East High School, students and their parents may complete registration and pick up their needed items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, August 8, Wednesday, August 10, and Friday, August 12. The school also will be open for registration from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, and Thursday, August 11. Counselors will be on hand to answer any questions concerning classes. In addition, parents may also purchase the mandatory gym uniform for physical education classes. Shirts are $10 each, and a pair of shorts cost $10 each.
Proviso West High School will operate on a similar schedule, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, August 8, Wednesday, August 10, and Friday, August 12, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, and Thursday, August 11. Textbooks, identifications, and schedules will be available for pickup as well.
Registration at Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day from August 8 to 12. Monday, August 8 will be for freshmen, Tuesday, August 9 will be for sophomores, Wednesday, August 10 will be for juniors, and Thursday, August 11 will be for seniors. Friday, August 12 will be a make-up for those who were unable to come to PMSA on their assigned days.
In addition, students at Proviso West who have already registered for classes can pick up their class schedules, identification cards, and textbooks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, and Thursday, August 4. Students at Proviso East who have already registered for classes can pick up their class schedules, identification cards, and textbooks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, and Friday, August 5.
Parents need to bring in information to complete the student’s registration, including registration packets, proof of residency, and payments for fees. In addition, parents of incoming freshmen will be allowed to turn in their physicals now through the day of Freshman Orientation on Friday, August 19.
