District 209 Invites Staff and Community to Provide Input in Superintendent Search
December 3, 2015 02:00 PM
Proviso Township High Schools District 209 has begun a search for a new superintendent.
To facilitate that search, the Board of Education interviewed superintendent search firms and chose BWP and Associates from Libertyville, Illinois, to conduct the search.
The Board now invites faculty, staff members, and the community to provide input in the process in two ways.
First, BWP consultants will conduct focus groups on Tuesday, December 8. Selected students and all faculty and staff are invited to participate during the day at each school. In addition, parents and community are invited and encouraged to attend an open community meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Proviso East High School, 807 South First Avenue in Maywood. Your input regarding the characteristics desired in the new superintendent will be used to develop the Leadership Profile which will be used to recruit and screen potential candidates.
Also, on Monday, December 7, a survey will be launched on the district website at www.pths209.org
. The entire school community is encouraged to participate in the survey. Again, the results will be used to develop the Leadership Profile. All surveys are held confidential.
The Board of Education thanks you in advance for your participation in this important process.
