State Testing Begins on Tuesday, March 15

The testing season for students in Proviso Township High Schools District 209 will begin on Tuesday, March 15, followed by the start of the administration of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments on Wednesday, March 16.
 
Juniors will take the official ACT college entrance exam on Tuesday, March 15, with March 29 scheduled as the makeup test date. The exam, which is funded by the district, will be administered in the morning. Other students who will not take the exam will arrive early in the afternoon for a shortened school day, with bus schedules adjusted accordingly.
 
The PARCC exam, a state-required test, will be administered beginning the following day on March 16. Students enrolled in English 3, Advanced Placement English Language and Composition, Algebra 2, and Integrated Math 3 courses will take the exams, regardless of their current year in school. The testing period in District 209 will end on May 4.
