Parent-Teacher Conferences on March 17
March 11, 2016 10:47 AM
Parents can learn more about their students’ progress at school and pick up their students’ report cards at the quarterly Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, March 17, at Proviso East High School, Proviso West High School, and Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
"We are looking forward to a record turnout this year," said Dr. Nettie Collins-Hart, superintendent for District 209. "Parent-Teacher Conferences are a good way for parents to meet with teachers and build partnerships that will promote student success."
The faculty and administration would like to urge parents to take advantage of this time which has been set aside specifically for the parents and teachers to confer. Both the parents and teachers bring special insights and understandings of the student to a conference. When these two perspectives come together, everyone can gain, especially the student.
Students will be in attendance on the regular class schedule on March 17, but they will have a shortened schedule on Friday, March 18, with dismissal at 2:10 p.m. at Proviso East and Proviso West and at 2:25 p.m. at PMSA.
