Proyecto de Acción de los Suburbios del Oeste (PASO) will host a screening of the award-winning documentary, "No Le Digas a Nadie (Don’t Tell Anyone)," at Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy, 8601 West Roosevelt Road in Forest Park, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 17.
"No Le Digas a Nadie," which won a George Foster Peabody Award earlier this year, tells the story of Angy Rivera, an undocumented immigrant who became the first undocumented youth advice columnist. Following the film screening, there will be a panel discussion featuring Ms. Rivera and other undocumented community leaders.
There is no admission cost to attend the screening and panel discussion, but attendees are asked to contact PASO at (708) 410-2000 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
to confirm their attendance.
The film screening is part of a two-day event by PASO, which will host its annual Dinner Celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 18, at Diplomat West Banquet Hall, 681 West North Avenue in Elmhurst. Ms. Rivera will be the keynote speaker. She also will receive PASO’s Courage Award, with Mrs. Claudia Medina, a District 209 Board of Education member, to be recognized with the Visionary Change Maker Award and the University of Illinois at Chicago with the Unity Change Maker Award.
Tickets to the dinner are $50 for adults and $30 for youth, and they can be obtained by contacting PASO at (708) 410-2000 or via email at email@example.com
