New Streamlined Registration Process Available for Returning Students

April 10, 2018 11:43 AM
District 209 is excited to announce a new, more streamlined registration process for returning students for the 2018-2019 school year. The new process features the elimination of virtually all forms, online payment of registration fees, and an extended window during which the early registration fee amount of $150 is available.
"We had a great team who came together to review our registration procedures with the goal of making things easier for our families," said Dan Johnson, Director of Student and Family Services.
Registration notices for returning students will be mailed out early during the week following Spring Break. Parents are encouraged to complete the process as soon as possible, preferably using the convenient online payment option. The notice also includes a tear-off portion that can be mailed or brought to the school with the registration fee payment. The early registration window will last from April 9 to July 12. After July 12, the regular registration fee of $250 will apply.
The registration notices being sent to returning students include a residency verification PIN that will need to be entered when paying online. The PIN is also pre-printed on the tear-off portion of the notice for those parents mailing in payment.
If you have recently moved, or you believe that the school does not have your current address, you can still register by bringing proof of residency information to the main office at your student's school. Once that information is reviewed and verified, you will be able to pay your student's fees.
The online payment option and mail-in option both allow parents who believe their students may qualify for fee waivers or reductions to make that indication. Fee Waiver or Reduction forms, along with supporting documentation, need to be received by the school on or before July 12, 2018, in order to guarantee the early registration fee amount, in the event that the student does not qualify for a fee waiver or reduction.
Registration packets for incoming freshmen will be mailed out before the end of April. The team working on streamlining the registration process has been working to simplify the packet for incoming freshmen and new students.
Parents can access the online registration site by clicking on the link for their student’s school, found below.

IMPORTANT: You will need to have the returning student registration notice with the Residency Verification PIN that was mailed to your address, in order to complete the online registration process.
