Fans of Proviso East High School and Proviso West High School football will get more opportunities to follow their favorite teams in action as District 209 will again partner with High School Cube this season.
High School Cube will broadcast several games for both schools, including Proviso East’s home games on August 30, September 6, and September 13, and all of Proviso West’s home games on August 29, September 19, October 10, and October 24. High School Cube also will broadcast the annual Proviso East-Proviso West rivalry game at Proviso West High School on September 27 as well as select away games for both schools.
"We have many talented student-athletes at Proviso East, Proviso West, and Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy, and we need to find ways of showing their talents in different venues and areas," said Mr. Rob Daniel, community and public relations coordinator for District 209. "With High School Cube and their partnerships with other media such as the Chicago Sun-Times and USA Today, we can accomplish this and broaden the scope in which we delivering the good news about our district to the community."
The 2014 season and High School Cube’s broadcasts begin this week with home games for both the Pirates and the Panthers.
Proviso West will host Evanston Township at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 29, at the Proviso West Stadium. Tickets are available for the game at $4 for adults and $3 for all students who present an ID. The game will also be shown live and will be available for viewing after the game here
