There is still a chance for students at Proviso East High School, Proviso West High School, and Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy to help improve their breakfast and lunch experiences at school by taking the District’s annual dining survey.
The 24-question survey is available now through March 7. It covers a variety of topics related to dining at schools in Proviso Township High Schools District 209, ranging from food choices to how often students eat meals provided at the school. The survey is available online at www.studentvp.com/209
and can be taken in a classroom, computer lab, or school library as well as at home on a smart phone or another computer.
The survey is being conducted by the District’s food service contractor, Aramark.
"This survey will help us determine how to better serve students as they eat breakfast and lunch at school," said Mr. Robert Carter, the District’s food service director. "With the input that we receive from this survey, we will have the information that we need to provide not only the items and services that students need, but also ways that we can communicate nutrition information to them."
Students also have another incentive to take the survey. Every student who takes the survey has an opportunity to win a free Kindle Fire HDX 7 from Aramark’s corporate office. In addition, every student from Proviso East, Proviso West, and PMSA who turns in a survey receipt to their cafeteria has a chance to win an iPod Shuffle in a raffle to be held at the end of May.
Students can take the survey from now through Friday, March 7 at www.studentvp.com/209. Those with questions can contact either their school cafeteria manager or Mr. Carter at 708-202-3044 or 708-202-3043.
