Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is now on Facebook.
The District 209 Facebook page, which can be found at www.facebook.com/provisod209
, is the latest way for parents, students, teachers, staff members, and other stakeholders in District 209 to keep up with the latest news from Proviso East High School, Proviso West High School, and Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy. The Facebook page is another way that the District is working to build bridges to success by increasing communication avenues, boosting its presence on the web, and connecting with stakeholders across multiple platforms.
"It is extremely important for us to keep an open line of communication with stakeholders in District 209 who have a vested interest in the progress and success of our school system," said Mr. Rob Daniel, community and public relations coordinator for District 209. "Hopefully, by utilizing these methods of communication, we can have a more informed, involved, and active following. We hope that parents, teachers, our alumni, and our students will find us so that we can all stay connected and continue to inform."
Along with the Facebook page, stakeholders also can follow District 209 on Twitter at www.twitter.com/pths209
. Like the Facbook page, the Twitter account is used to keep followers up-to-date on all of the latest happenings in District 209 including news, school closings, special events, and community alerts. Those interested in the District also can watch videos of Proviso East, Proviso West, and PMSA students and teachers on the District’s own YouTube page
. By increasing communication across multiple platforms, the District expects to offer greater communication to the community at-large.
