Forest Park, IL...Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is working with Supplemental Educational Service (SES) providers across the state of Illinois to offer free tutoring and educational support services to Proviso East and Proviso West students.
PTHS 209 has partnered with outside Supplemental Services Education providers to offer students tutoring in reading, language arts and mathematics. Students may receive extra help before or after school, on weekends, during intercessions or during the summer, at no cost to the family. Parents are able to choose the service that best suits their students’ needs. Parents have 10 different service providers from which to choose and may select the program that bests suit their students’ needs.
“Parent support is essential to the success of our students and the district as a whole,” said PTHS 209 Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Cheryl Pruitt. “We encourage our parents to communicate with teachers, make sure their students attend school regularly, help with homework, monitor social time and activities, and sign up for the tutoring programs being offered here. These programs are designed to help students excel, and they will provide critical support for students’ academic development.”
