Dear Neighbor: Welcome to Proviso Township High Schools District 209 (PTHS 209)
PTHS 209 has a long history of educating tomorrow's leaders. We count some of the greatest all-stars of each generation as Proviso Alumni. Star athletes, musicians, educators, television personalities, politicians, philanthropists, architects and professionals in virtually every field of human endeavor have received their education and foundation for success right here, in Proviso Township High Schools.
So, on behalf of the Proviso community and the PTHS 209 Board of Education, we invite you to further explore the dynamic culture, dedicated teachers and staff, and bright young students that make PTHS 209 extraordinary.
The PTHS 209 Board of Education is working diligently to ensure that every Proviso student earns a quality education that facilitates the fulfillment of their dreams. We continually strive to enhance the educational experience of our students.
We have forged strong partnerships with our local mayors & elected officials, clergy, and local civic and business leaders who provide integral support to our mission as we continue to push Proviso forward.
On behalf of the PTHS 209 Board of Education, I encourage you to help us keep "Proviso Rising." We all have a pivotal role to play. If you are a parent, that means staying active in your child's educational development. For faculty and staff, it means staying focused on the success of each Proviso student. For students, it means coming to school every day, prepared, on time, and ready to tackle the tasks at hand.
Let us accept nothing less than excellence as we each do our part to ensure that PTHS 209 continues to provide a world-class education for tomorrow's leaders.
