Cook County Commissioner Richard R. Boykin Presents Resolution to PMSA

Cook County Commissioner Richard R. Boykin presented a resolution of the Cook County Board of Commissioners on May 23rd at Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy (PMSA) honoring PMSA students, faculty, and staff for being named one of the top high schools in Illinois by U.S. News & World Report.
The U.S. News & World Report 2017 Best High Schools rankings listed PMSA 32nd of 658 Illinois high schools and nationally at 1,044, awarding the school a Silver medal.
Commissioner Boykin met with PMSA students and congratulated them on their achievements on behalf of the residents of Cook County and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence. He was joined by Dr. Bessie Karvelas, principal of PMSA, Mr. William Breisch, assistant principal of PMSA, and Dr. Nicole Howard, assistant superintendent of Academics and Student/Family Services for District 209.
